World’s Toughest Row

Oar Mighty Mates 2C are a team of two friends, Andy Purvis & Tim (Seasports) Cox rowing a staggering 3,000 miles in the Atlantic Ocean. The team got together in the face of adversity after the original team got to the start line only for them to be unable to start the race. Tim who loves the outdoors as much as Andy stepped in to create Oar Mighty Mates 2C to make sure we can go again in 2024. They are both excited and honoured to have the opportunity to fight this ultimate challenge together and raise money for Abigail’s Footsteps and Dementia UK.

The World’s Toughest Row Atlantic Challenge is the world’s toughest rowing race, covering 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean alone from La Gomera, Canary Islands, Spain (28°N 17°W) to Nelson’s Dockyard, English Harbour, Antigua and Barbuda (17°N 62°W).
