Abi Cold Cot FAQs for donors

Abigail’s Footsteps Supply Cold Cots for Hospitals and Hospices in the UK and Ireland

All hospitals and hospices that have a bereavement suite should have a cold cot.

A cold cot is a refrigerated cot that allows parents to spend more time with their deceased baby than would otherwise be possible.

The cold cot helps parents to bond with their baby and aids the grieving process.

The Abi Cold Cot

The Abi Cold Cot is a cold cot produced by Abigail’s Footsteps in partnership with The Bond Group . We have supplied over 50 hospitals and hospices in the UK and Ireland so far.

We recommend every hospital or hospice has at least 2 cold cots.

Cold Cot Donations for Hospitals and Hospices

Hospitals and hospices can receive cold cot donations from bereaved families.

All of our donated cold cots for hospitals will include an engraved plaque, lovingly created by Gravesham Trophy Centre in memory of a family’s loss.

If you would like to be added to the wait list to receive a cold cot donation for your hospital or hospice, please contact us.
